New Jersey Youth Soccer is proud to continue the evolution of our NJYS Growing the Girls Game (G3) Initiative. Originally started in 2021, the G3 Initiative focuses on empowering females both on and off the field, and at all ages and stages of the soccer experience.
With an emphasis being placed on the girls’ youth game, the G3 Initiative endeavors to introduce more girls and women to opportunities in the game while also helping to grow female participation in administration, coaching, refereeing and playing. NJ Youth Soccer also announced the addition of Women and Girls in Soccer (WAGS) as a key supporter of the initiative as G3 programming in 2023.
Coaching Education Scholarships
NJYS and WAGS have partnered to provide subsidized all-women’s coaching education courses across the coaching education pathway.
NJ Youth Soccer Internship Opportunities
NJYS offers this internship with the goal of providing a young female in the sport a first-hand opportunity to gain professional experience. Interested female students should send a resume and cover letter to communications@njyouthsoccer.com.
Olympic Development Program (ODP) Scholarship
In support of the G3 initiative, New Jersey Youth Soccer offers an ODP Scholarship. This scholarship will award one girl, who tries out and makes the NJ ODP team, with a full scholarship to the program.
Young Olympians Scholarship
NJ Youth Soccer is proud to offer scholarships to the Young Olympians program to support girls at the earliest stages of their career.
Techne Futbol Team Subscription
To supplement the Growing the Girls Game (G3) Initiative, NJYS partnered with Techne Futbol to help further the training of a selected girls team with six (6) months of free access to the Techne Futbol app.
