A fantastic run for New Jersey Youth Soccer at the USYS Eastern Regional Championships continued today in West Virginia, as three teams claimed championships and another two booked their spots in the tournament finals on Wednesday. Raising the trophy for their respective age groups today was The Football Academy Black (12U Girls), Torpedoes Red (16U Boys) and Cedar Stars North Elite 64 (19U Boys), while The Football Academy Black (13U Boys) and Ironbound SC NAL Raiders (17U Boys) won their semifinal matches on Tuesday to advance into the championship round tomorrow.

The Football Academy Black (12U Girls) completed an undefeated campaign at the Eastern Regional Championships on Tuesday by winning a fifth consecutive contest, earning a hard-fought victory over Penn Fusion SA 2012 Elite (PAE) in the title game, 5-3. The win came on the heels of a 2-1 result over Loudoun Pre-ECNL G12 Red (VA) in the semifinals on Monday, which was preluded by The Football Academy Black winning all three group matches to earn the top spot in their bracket for the knockout stage.

Torpedoes Red (16U Boys) also raised the trophy for their age group today after defeating SDA 2008B (NYW) in the 16U Boys Final, 3-0. Torpedoes Red leaves West Virginia with five straight victories, first winning three times in their group before outlasting Stony Brook LGN SC Wildlings Blue B2008 (NYE) in the semifinals, 3-2. By claiming the 16U Boys Championship, Torpedoes Red officially booked their reservation for the USYS National Championships later this month at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

Joining Torpedoes Red (16U Boys) in Orlando will be Cedar Stars North Elite 64 (19U Boys), who claimed the championship in their age group today with a 5-3 win over Eagle FC 05/06B Black (PAE) in the final. Cedar Stars North also went undefeated at the Eastern Regional Championships, first winning their group on three consecutive victories prior to upending Seacoast United 2006/05B NL Elite (ME) in the semifinals, 2-1.

Winning in the semifinals on Tuesday to advance into the final for their age group was The Football Academy Black (13U Boys). The New Jersey side blanked TAKOMA PARK 2011 BOYS (MD) earlier today, 1-0, which marks their fifth straight win in West Virginia. They will look to make it six consecutive victories on Wednesday morning when they meet Rhode Island Surf B2011 Elite Blue (RI) in the 13U Boys Final. Leading into the semifinals, The Football Academy Black won their group on nine points before a 3-0 win over Coppermine SC Boys 2011 Elite 64 (MD) in the quarterfinals.

Ironbound SC NAL Raiders (17U Boys) also punched their ticket to the finals after a 6-1 victory over WVFC 2007 Boys Black (WV) earlier today. Awaiting them in the 17U Boys Final on Wednesday will be IFA West 2007 Boys EDS (MA). Ironbound SC has also been on an undefeated run at the Eastern Regional Championships, first winning their group on three straight victories before they defeated SDA 2007B (NYW) in the quarterfinals, 3-0.
