The 2023 US Youth Soccer National Championships are set to kick off with six New Jersey Youth Soccer member teams vying for a ‘National Champion’ title. The nation’s most prestigious youth soccer event will take place from July 18th through July 23rd at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
“New Jersey Youth Soccer is proud to support the teams attending the National Championships,” said Ryan Foley, NJYS Manager, Operations and State Cup Supervisor. “The players and coaches have dedicated their season to this event, and we are excited to see those efforts come to fruition.”
The six teams qualified for the National Championships through the US Youth Soccer National League P.R.O. in the spring season. In addition to the State Cups competition, teams that compete in the National League can also earn their place at the marquee event. Among those in attendance, three teams are set to return after falling short in last year’s competition: NJ Premier 17UG, SC Vistula Garfield 16UB and RUSA 17UG. Three teams, NJ Premier 15UG, Washington United 17UB and STA 15UG, will make their national stage debut for their first time.
Group play will consist of one game per day for three straight days, beginning on Tuesday. From there, teams will qualify for the semifinals on Saturday where success earns a berth to the National Championship match on Sunday.
Best of luck to the six New Jersey Youth Soccer member teams at the 2023 US Youth Soccer National Championships:
- Morris United SC STA 15UG
- NJ Premier 17UG
- NJ Premier 15UG
- RUSA 17UG
- SC Vistula Garfield 16UB
