NJ Youth Soccer Supports All Kids One Field Community Soccer Clinic

Will Scherer, NJ Youth Soccer

All Kids One Field recently hosted a Community Soccer Clinic to celebrate the game and help local youth players develop their own skills. This event was run in collaboration with New Jersey Youth Soccer as part of the US Youth Soccer United Cup.
The United Cup is supported by a grant from US Youth Soccer that aims to provide recreational youth soccer players with an opportunity to experience the game in a fun, family-like atmosphere.

All Kids One Field bridges diverse groups within the community by promoting participation in community sports, local sporting events and wellness activities. During this most recent event, the youth participants were exposed to short-sided games as well as dribbling competitions, juggling activities, races and a Q&A session with Sabrina Flores, a former New Jersey ODP player who now competes professionally with Gotham FC.

“All Kids One Field is about creating new friendships and building community by playing soccer,” said Chris Naspo, founder of All Kids One Field. “NJYS embraces and serves the youth soccer community. Their coaches and administrators always step up by providing quality and powerful training and experiences that embrace this exact concept for players of all levels. This program is a perfect example of how they work to use soccer to develop our kids and grow our community.”

To provide additional context regarding All Kids One Field, their goals as an organization are to:

  • Develop and implement informative, educational and entertaining programs designed to encourage local children to participate in group sports and wellness activities.
  • Network with community groups to promote local sports and wellness programs while providing kids and families with information and resources to allow them to participate.
  • Identify and remove logistical challenges to the participation in group sports and wellness activities by local children.
  • Raise funds to provide scholarships for local children to participate in sports leagues as well as opportunities for families to attend local sporting and wellness events.

“Thank you, Chris Naspo, Founder and President of All Kids One Field, for your work in organizing a great soccer play-time program for kids,” said Rick Meana, NJYS Director of Coaching. “Adding to this successful event was a fantastic clinic run by Sabrina Flores of Gotham FC. The kids I spoke with all agreed that it was worth every minute of their time!”

In addition to Sabrina Flores and Gotham FC, NJ Youth Soccer and All Kids One Field would also like to thank Hello Panda for providing snacks to participants throughout this community event.
