Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Club Hosts 4v4 Festival

New Jersey Youth Soccer and Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Club recently collaborated to host the United Cup 4v4 Festival. The event was organized as a way to get kids out and playing soccer with ‘no scores, no referees, just fun.’

As an NJYS member club, Lyndhurst Soccer Youth Soccer Club is committed to finding new ways to provide youth players with opportunities to develop as athletes and individuals by running additional training programs, tournaments and special events throughout the year. Everybody who is involved at the club was very excited about the United Cup 4v4 Festival.

“I would like to thank NJYS and its partner organizations for their support in coming out to make this a truly memorable experience for our youth players,” said Joe Baratta, President of Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Club. “These events are a great way to encourage participation by young athletes as we continue our work together to promote soccer throughout Northern New Jersey. The future is bright!”

After committing to the NJYS Innovate to Grow Initiative last year, Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Club has expanded the development of its recreation and travel programs. Additionally, the club has adopted and implemented the player development model proposed by US Soccer, which includes appropriate playing formats at all ages and levels.

With the help of NJ Youth Soccer and Innovate to Grow, Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Club will continue to focus on both player and coaching development initiatives to provide the most competitive environment possible. As they aim to increase local and regional visibility, the club also hopes to expand their offerings of tournaments and events in the region.

“Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Club hosted such a great United Cup 4v4 Festival, giving players of all ages an opportunity to play with no score, no referees and just having fun. Even the parents had fun!” said David Ricca, NJYS ITG Project Consultant. “Perth Amboy will be hosting another one on June 18th, so we are all looking forward to that as well.”
