CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA (June 16, 2022) – The US Youth Soccer Eastern Presidents Cup in Charleston and Barboursville, West Virginia will kick-off on Thursday, seeing fifteen New Jersey teams vie for a regional Presidents Cup title. The Eastern Presidents Cup competition will determine the regional qualifiers that will compete in the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup. Regional winners in the 13U through 19U groups, both boys and girls, will vie for the national title.
Over the past year, teams in the 11U-19U age groups competed in the New Jersey Youth Soccer Presidents Cup to qualify for the regional level of the competition.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The Presidents Cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie, and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
The first round of play will consist of three games in three days at venues in Charleston and Barboursville, West Virginia. The teams with the most points at the conclusion of group play play will advance to the semifinals on June 20th, for a chance to move on to the finals on June 21st.
