NJ Teams and Referees set to Kickoff the 2021 US Youth Soccer National Championships

BRADENTON-SARASOTA, Florida (July 19, 2021) – The US Youth Soccer National Championships in Sarasota, Florida will kick-off tomorrow, seeing four New Jersey teams vie for a national title. The National Championships are the final stage of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series which also provides collegiate, pro, and international coaches with the ability to identify and scout players.

The US Youth Soccer National Championships are set to take place at the Premier Sports Campus, which offers 23 FIFA-regulation grass fields on a 140-acre campus. Approximately 2,700 players, coaches, and spectators are expected to attend US Youth Soccer’s most prestigious tournament.

The first round of play will consist of three games in three days at Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch. The teams with the most points at the conclusion of Thursday’s play in the 13U age group will advance to play for the National Championship on Friday, July 23. In the 14U through 19/20U age groups, the top two teams in each group move on to semifinals for a chance to earn a place in their respective National Championship final on Sunday, July 25.

Earlier this month, teams completed the US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships and the National League Playoffs to secure a spot at the 2021 US Youth Soccer National Championships.

New Jersey is also represented by 3 referees, who were selected based on exceptional performances at the US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships.
