NJ Youth Soccer Hosts ODP College Training Night

East Windsor, N.J. (May 24, 2019) ― The New Jersey Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) recently hosted an ODP College Training Night, which was attended by top college coaches from around the state.

"NJ ODP is a place where I spent almost 20 years coaching many tremendous players who were also amazing young women," said Dr. Krissy Turner, head coach of the women's soccer program at Monmouth University. "I am always looking for talented student-athletes, and NJ ODP is definitely a place where I can count on to find potential recruits. The event was well organized, and I look forward to maintaining my relationship with NJ ODP for years to come."

The session was made up of small and full-sided games that gave the college coaches an opportunity to view the players in tight and open spaces. The purpose of this session was to place the players in an environment where they could display their individual and collective skills.

"Jersey Girls are the foundation of TCNJ Women's Soccer," said Bob Turner, assistant coach at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). "They have allowed us to be one of the premier programs in the country. It was great to be back on the fields with NJ ODP, searching for future Lady Lions."

NJ Youth Soccer has officially set the dates for its 2019 ODP Tryouts, with four sessions planned on July 27-28 and August 3-4. Registration and further information regarding ODP Tryouts can be found online: ODP Tryouts Registration & Details
