College Recruitment Seminar- for 2002-2005 players

We are excited to announce that NJ Youth Soccer will host our first ever College Recruitment Seminar. To make this seminar impactful we have assembled some of the best college coaches that New Jersey has to offer in Krissy Turner (Monmouth University Women's Soccer Head Coach), Ally Nick (NJIT Women's Soccer Head Coach), Jim Moore (Georgian Court Women's Soccer Head Coach), Bob Turner (TCNJ Women's Assistant Head Coach), Brian Woods (William Patterson Men's Soccer Head Coach) and Charlie Inverso (Rider University Men's Soccer Head Coach). This seminar will begin on at 7:00pm on May 29th at the Yvonne Theatre at Rider University.

These coaches will be on-hand to provide exclusive insight into the college recruitment process, how to build your playing biography, gaining interest from a college coach and life as a college soccer athlete. We hope you can will join us for what is destined to be a night loaded with valuable information that can help you get into a college of your choice and prepare you for the next chapter in your life.

This event will be open to the public so we encourage you to register (click here) and reserve your space as soon as possible. There is no cost to attend this event and registration includes the player and a guest (i.e. parent). Once we reach capacity for the venue, we will not be in a position to add additional participants.

NJ Youth Soccer

ODP Success Story Seminar- all ages

NJ Youth Soccer is excited to announce our inaugural ODP Success Story Seminar on June 3rd at Rider University. The goal of the evening event is to have attendees gain insight into the dedication that is needed to reach the highest level and how to overcome consistent obstacles that appear when seeking greatness. We hope you can join us in what is destined to be a great evening with outstanding role models. Yael Averbuch and Nick Labrocca are two featured participants in this ODP College Success Stories Seminar.

After playing in the New Jersey ODP and NJYS system as a youth player, Yael Averbuch went on to star at the University of North Carolina where she won two NCAA National Championships, made an NCAA records 105 consecutive starts before having her number 17 jersey retired after her senior season. Averbuch become the first-ever draft pick for Sky Blue FC, winning the 2009 Women's Professional Soccer championship in her rookie season. Internationally, she competed for the for the US Women's National team at every level and has proven to be a true leader off the field, currently serving as the Union President for the NWSL Players Association.

Nick Labrocca played high school, club soccer and ODP in New Jersey before going on to having a three time All-Big East career at Rutgers University. From there, LaBrocca was selected by the Colorado Rapids in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft. His 10-year MLS career included being named to the 2011 MLS All-Star Game against Manchester United. LaBrocca has played for the US national U-20 and U-23 national teams, and was called up to the senior national team camp in 2008 ahead of a World Cup Qualifier against Guatemala.
