NJ Youth Soccer Proudly Supporting 2018 United Soccer Coaches Convention

With the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Convention officially set for Jan. 17-21 in Philadelphia, we are pleased to share a NJYS registration discount opportunity in anticipation of this annual gathering of the national soccer community. Read more.

NJ Youth Soccer Announces Young Olympians and Club NJYS Registration

The New Jersey Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) announced that it will begin programming for Young Olympians (birth year 2006) and Club NJYS (birth year 2007 and 2008) on Saturday, November 18. Sessions for both programs will be hosted regionally (south, shore/central and north) to facilitate participation throughout the state. Read more.

PCA Double-Goal Coach Award

Positive Coaching Alliance's Double-Goal Coach Award is given to youth and high school sports coaches from throughout the U.S. who embody the ideals of the Double-Goal Coach, striving to win, while also pursuing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports. Nominate a coach.

NJ Native Tab Ramos Extended as U.S. Youth Soccer Technical Director

Former U.S. Men's National Team player and New Jersey native Tab Ramos will continue as U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director and U-20 Men's National Team head coach after agreeing to an extension. Ramos has served as Youth Technical Director since Nov. 2013 and head coach of the U-20 MNT since Oct. 2011. Read more.

NJ Youth Soccer "F" and "E" Coaching Certificate Courses Now Available

NJ Youth Soccer is currently accepting applicants for its upcoming NJYS "F" and "E" coaching certifications. The State "F" Certificate is recommended for coaching players who are between the age of 6-11 years old, and it is now a requirement for all volunteer travel team coaches. The State "E" Certificate is a 13-hour formal course that is designed for all coaches who recently completed the NJYS "F" Course and are looking to learn more. No waiting period is required between taking the NJYS "F" Course and the NJYS State "E" Course.

U.S. Soccer Announces Next Dates for A-Youth and B Courses

U.S. Soccer will host A, B, and C Performance Centers at two locations. These test centers are specifically for coaches who earned a Not Ready (NR) or a Provisional Status grade at an A, B, C or GK course prior to 2016. Performance Centers offer Provisional Status candidates an opportunity to earn a U.S. Soccer license. Registration for these Performance Centers is currently open on the Digital Coaching Center. Space is limited. Interested applicants should review the Performance Center FAQ's and confirm their eligibility in the Digital Coaching Center.

Confirmed Performance Center Locations:

  • Westfield, Indiana; Oct. 28-29
  • Dublin, California; Nov. 18-19
