New Jersey Youth Soccer C License Course |
|
New Jersey Youth Soccer, in conjunction with US Soccer, will host a National "C" License Coaching Course in Wall, NJ at the Wall Municipal Fields from Tuesday, April 17 through Sunday April 22, 2012 and continuing from Thursday, April 26, 2012 through Saturday April 29, 2012. The course will consist of about 75 hours of classroom field training. A candidate must attend all sessions to earn the "C" license.
The National “C” License course is designed to introduce concepts that are targeted toward coaching players ages 11 – 14. The course focus is on getting coaches to think about, discuss, and recognize the recurring concepts or themes that exist in soccer. Candidates will be challenged to find ways to offer constructive guidance to players while also allowing players to experience the game for themselves. The daily course outline is available here. The Daily Schedule is Tentative and subject to change with notice. Breakfast and Dinner on your own.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have earned a National "D" License certification AND held that license for a minimum of 12 months. The requirements for a waiver to this requirement may be issued by US Soccer if the applicant meets the conditions outlined by US Soccer.
There are significant pre-course requirements for this course that must be completed before the opening day of the course. These Pre-Course Assignments can be found on the US Soccer Coaching Department website
The National "C" License Course is the first of the National Coaching School Courses that will provide the avenue to continue towards the high level coaching license courses. The course will provide the coach with valuable information and ideas on current state of the art coaching methods and international developments in the game. The course emphasizes field instruction in areas of technique, tactics and fitness. The course work will also cover Sport Psychology and Team Management.
The cost of the course is $900.00. Because of the physical nature of the course work we strongly recommend that candidates stay at a local hotel. Also, we have found that even more learning takes place and ideas are shared in the hotel lobbies, rooms, and pubs after the day is over. A list of local hotels will be sent to each applicant.
