Cornerstone Activities
A CORNERSTONE activity is one that can serve as the foundation for your entire practice and with
a few modifications you can build an entire practice session around this activity.
Here are activities you can use with children 7 and older at any level
to teach dribbling, dribbling to set up a pass, short inside/outside push passes,
receiving-ball control, cooperating with a teammate etc.

Footworks

NJ Youth Soccer is proud to introduce “Footworks,” a comprehensive educational process that addresses best practices to develop basic movement skills and ball control.  The goal is to develop young soccer players who are not only more competent, but more confident and as a result and more motivated to play.  Footworks combines a teaching methodology, curriculum, and consulting services.  NJ Youth Soccer Coaching School Instructors will come out to your location to observe, provide advice, recommendations, strategies for effective implementation of developmentally appropriate training and playing formats.
