For over 20 years, Jeanine Willis served as a volunteer, officer, and finally the Executive Director of New Jersey Youth Soccer.  Her entire soccer career was devoted to improving the experience that children had playing in New Jersey Youth Soccer, especially the NJYS State Cup program.  For those players who's team went to Fort Dix to play quarter final matches, you would remember Jeanine as the lady who checked in your team and made sure your coach had all the proper paperwork for you to play.  If you were fortunate to advance to the finals of your age group, she was there again helping you sign in for that all important match.

The Jeanine Willis Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to deserving high school seniors who played in the New Jersey Youth Soccer State Cup for two years and who intend to go on to college or an accredited technical school.  Applicants should have participated at some level of the NJYS state cup for two seasons.

New Jersey Youth Soccer will award up to two $1,000 scholarships each year.  Applications are invited from high school seniors who intend to go to college or an accredited technical school.  Candidates who have played for an affiliated New Jersey Youth Soccer club and played in the NJYS State Cup Program for two seasons may apply for a scholarship from the Jeanine Willis Scholarship Fund.  Applicants may apply for any or all of the New Jersey Youth Soccer scholarships but will only be award one NJYS scholarship.

To be considered for a scholarship during the 2011-2012 year, an application form must be completed in its entirety and submitted to the NJYS Office (at the address below) by December 16, 2011 with the required supporting documentation. Successful applicants will be notified by mail on December 21, 2011.  The Scholarship awards will be presented at the New Jersey Youth Soccer Annual Awards Dinner that will be held on January 6, 2012.
