Brett Fenster played soccer from the age of five until he graduated from High School.  He began by participating in the Rec Program in West Windsor at age 5 and continued playing on travel and school teams.  His love of soccer grew along with his ability to perform on the field.  The camaraderie and teamwork that are reflected in this wonderful sport were his inspiration.  In 2010 Brett tragically passed away at the age of 23. His devotion to his friends, effervescence, and intensity on the playing field were earmarks of his personality

The Brett Fenster Scholarship Fund awards a  scholarship to a deserving high school senior who has played in an affiliated NJ Youth Soccer club and who intends to continue his/her education at a  2 or 4 year college or an accredited technical school.

New Jersey Youth Soccer will award a $1,000 scholarship each year.  Applications are invited from high school seniors who intend to go to college or an accredited technical school.  Candidates who have played for an affiliated New Jersey Youth Soccer club the Brett Fenster Scholarship Fund.  Applicants may apply for any or all of the New Jersey Youth Soccer scholarships but will only be award one NJYS scholarship.

To be considered for a scholarship during the 2011-2012 year, an application form must be completed in its entirety and submitted to the NJYS Office (at the address below) by December 16, 2011 with the required supporting documentation. Successful applicants will be notified by mail on December 21, 2011.  The Scholarship awards will be presented at the New Jersey Youth Soccer Annual Awards Dinner that will be held on January 6, 2012.
